THE HUMAN AGENCY TEAM

Shona McCullagh

Director

Shona is well known in NZ as a highly accomplished dancer, choreographer, director and filmmaker with a strong collaborative work history. She has a great love of working with actors and directors, having choreographed for Peter Jackson, Andrew Adamson, Colin McColl, Lucy Lawless, Naomi Watts, Jamie Bell, Sean Astin and Kevin Smith. Alongside her agency work, Shona regularly creates work for theatre, film and live events, identifying strongly with artists of all genres. Always a passionate advocate for performers’ rights, Shona was the Equity representative in Limbs Dance Company and established the agency to assist with the protection and promotion of some of the country’s most talented performers. She can frequently be heard asking the question to Human Agency performers “Where do you want to be in five years time?” and being slightly obsessive about correct spelling and professionalism.  Click here for further info.

Anna Adam

Commerical & Drama

Anna had several years experience in magazine and newspaper publishing before moving into agency work in 1995. With over seventeen years experience in the industry she has worked for Nova Models and Talent and odd management before joining The Human Agency. In her spare time, Anna works in community theatre, and is the vice-president of Ellerslie Theatrical Society, taking responsibility for marketing and for production management. She is a strong negotiator, with a real appreciation of the needs of both production companies and the people she represents.

Liz van Dyk

Accounts

Liz joined the Agency in late 2005 as a part-time booker. When the Agency decided to prioritise the fast payment of talent, Liz leapt to the Accounts seat where she is responsible for monitoring the money coming in and going out.  In between looking after her family (with the recently added demands of Stage Mother), learning tennis, playing recreational sport, indulging her love of wine and food, attending day time movies and her latest passion – working through her never-ending schedule of TV recordings on MY SKY, Liz manages to find the time to come into work 3 days a week to make sure she can pay all our talent as soon as possible.

Vanessa Armstrong

Live Events

Vanessa joined The Human Agency on her return from across the Tasman on the brink of the Rugby World Cup in 2011. She has always had a passion for entertainment and her love for the performing arts led her into a tertiary education in Music and Dance Performance and her first job working in the green room for Lee Scratch Perry. As the years progressed green room excursions continued as did an interest in dance, particularly Hip Hop. Vanessa taught and curated for music videos for several years whilst marketing a high school Hip Hop event Bring It On, finally finding her feet in agency work. Vanessa has a strong interest in styling which she studied in Melbourne and this is incorporated into her live event work. Vanessa possesses strong organisational skills, vision and is passionate about the progression of the entertainment industry in New Zealand.
